It was a hectic conciliation meeting at the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce. Soorappa Babu admitting his mistake tendered an apology bowing his head to Smt Meena Toogudeepa Srinivas on Monday evening.

It is all because of a nasty clipping of 45 seconds in which Soorappa Babu had told objectionable things on Toogudeepa Srinivas veteran actor of Kannada cinema and father of challenging star Darshan and Dinakar.

The thronging of Darshan fans from Mysore, Mandya, Hassan, Davanagere, Chitradurga, Bangalore – inside the KFCC board meeting room was something unusual not heard and seen so far. So much of fan fare not entered the KFCC meeting hall. Slogan shouting ‘Dikkara Dikkara Soorappa Babu Dikkara’ was heard frequently. The fans of Darshan demanded that Soorappa Babu should get down from the dais and apologize.

A Kannada producer in the last 78 years has not faced this kind of situation. The cops were also seen at this conciliatory meeting that was quite tough.

On the dais KFCC President KV Chandrasekhar, Smt Meena Toogudeepa Srinivas, Dinakar Toogudeepa, Sa Ra Govindu, MS Ramesh, Soorappa Babu, Lingaraju of Darshan fans association were seated. The different districts Darshan Fans were at the opposite seats to the dais.

Soorappa Babu should be banned for three years. He should get out from the cinema production was aired by the fans. It was well controlled by Dinakar Toogudeepa and SA Ra Govindu. A producer does not know anything other than cinema. He should not be banned said Dinakar. Sa Ra Govindu supported this statement. Dinakar at one point of time said Soorappa Babu not telephoned to him when Soorappa Babu pointed making telephone calls to him.

KFCC President KV Chandrasekhar in his address stated that what is not expected has happened. We are not here to support Soorappa Babu statement. Forgiving is the only thing that should happen he felt. This kind of situation should not come to Kannada cinema industry he felt in his speech.

MS Ramesh in his address thanked Darshan fans for their patience and urged for them to cooperate in the case. Kshamisuva Dodda Manassu Nimmadagali said MS Ramesh.

Soorappa Babu facing lot of insult in this case admitted the mistake. Smt. Meena Toogudeepa Srinivas is like my mother. I have lost my mother 12 years ago. Falling to the feat and apologizing is nothing falling to my mother feat. It was not intentional one. I was discussing on ‘Bhagyavantha’ roles at Puneeth Rajakumar film time. My mind set was not in order. After knowing such a thing is seen in the internet media I called up the concerned persons and apologized. Everyone makes misstate. It was accidental mistake and I apologize. The chappal garland what you have put me I hope it becomes a garland one day. I am in tough with Dinakar since five years. What the fans of Darshan have demanded – there is nothing wrong. I am approaching the cyber crime branch in this case and finding more details he pointed.

Smt Meena Toogudeepa Srinivas addressed the fans and said ‘Makkale if you permit I will excuse him’. This should not happen once again. Finally Soorappa Babu bowed to Meena Toogudeepa Srinivas.
